Bunny Bowling!

Yesterday was Easter as many of you know. Easter isn't quite as much fun when you aren't with family but my roommates and I tried our best to make the best of it. We had an Easter egg hunt that was a scavenger hunt with clues leading to everyone's Easter basket at the end. Which was a lot of fun to make and do. (April and I put together the scavenger hunt.)

One of the items in my Easter basket was a bowling set that had pins that were shaped like bunnies. So we ended up playing 15 frames of bowling. It was a lot of fun and Melanie even broke 100 points in the first 10 frames. We had a blast, even if we missed our families. I may just have to go bunny bowling every year.
Above is our Bunny Bowling lane. I am lounging on the couch as the official score keeper. You can see Brian's legs. And although you cannot see her, April was our official pin setter.
Here is Mickie lining up her first ball on her frame. If I remember correctly she did very well. Maybe eight or nine pins knocked down. Lucas was the only one to get a strike the entire day, but we didn't get a picture of him bowling.

Spring Break

This Spring Break was AMAZING! I got to hang out with my family and take April and Melanie around Southern Utah, which included hiking and repelling. On Monday of Spring Break we went to Bryce Canyon National Park and Zions Canyon National Park. We had a lot of fun and took some funny pictures. The picture on the left is a picture of all three of us at Bryce Canyon National Park. The finger you see belongs to a very well dressed European man that we encountered on the trail. He was wearing slacks and loafers.

We decided to do a little hiking while at Bryce...but we didn't get very far because there was about two and a half feet of snow.

On the left is a picture of April and me knee deep in snow. It is a very good thing that it was a nice day outside and that we dried off very quickly

Here is a picture of Melanie and April hiking in Snow Canyon. It was a really nice day and there are so many beautiful rock formations in Snow Canyon. April did a really good job of keeping up with us hiking...even though she was in a boot because of her sprained ankle. Go Will Power!

We even did a little climbing on the rocks, which is easier said than done in a zero-traction boot.

After hiking in Snow Canyon my Dad took us repelling which was more fun than I could handle. I love truly is falling with style. I also love to try crazy but safe things. Like trying to look like spider man or going commando (going face first.)
This is a picture of my Dad and I going repelling...I was trying to look like Spiderman. It didn't work extremely well. But it still looks pretty cool. This is a picture of April going commando. It was her first and last time of the day but she made it look easy. This is a picture of Melanie going commando. She got to be quite the pro and really enjoyed it...even when she was terrified that she was going to die.

Spring Break was so much fun. After my roommates went back to Salt Lake, I got to go to Mesa, Arizona with my family. It was the perfect ending to a great week. I even got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Wagner.

Aggie Senior Night

So last night was Aggie Senior Night for Men's Basketball, I am a little depressed and probably will be for the next 8 months when Aggie Basketball starts up again. But last night was sad for more reasons than it was the last home game of the season. Last night was the last time that Jaycee Carroll will play in the Spectrum. He is the holder of 9 school records and a great basketball player. I am going to miss having a player that I can always count on. Jaycee started college the same year that I did, so I haven't known Aggie Basketball without Jaycee Carroll. But as I look forward to a new season with the Aggies, I get that pumped up feeling all over again. Even without Jaycee Carroll, Kris Clark, and Stephen DuCharme, Aggie Basketball is still great even though they will be missed, well I probably won't miss DuCharme...I really don't like him.

Well enough with the sentimental look let's talk about the game. It was so great, from the very beginning you could feel the senior game magic mixing with the Spectrum magic. Jaycee came out and nailed four straight three-pointers. It was so loud in the was amazing. I loved the entire game. Even DuCharme showed up to play in his last home game...I only wish that he could have played like that all season.

Ok...the best part of this entire game. I was sitting on like the 12th row, which are pretty good seats. But for the second half my neighbor Lucas invited me to come sit by him because he had an extra seat on the 5th row. I have never sat that close. It was amazing...the players were almost life size. It was so exciting and it was like the sounds of the Spectrum surrounded you. Oh I love Aggie Basketball. The only problem with sitting that close is that I had a hard time seeing the whole court because my angle of the far basket went through a lot of people. But it was worth was amazing. I am really happy that they didn't put Lucas and me on the Kiss-cam though...I would hate for my first kiss to be on the Jumbo-tron. I want my first kiss to be on a rollercoaster.

Well, that is enough about the basketball game...I just have one more thing to say. GO AGGIES!!!!

Pictures for Engineering Queen

If you can't distinguish what picture goes to what contest...I will hang my head in shame.

Engineering Queen

Somehow over the last little while I lost my mind and signed up for a beauty pageant. Don't ask was just a crazy spur of the moment thing. I blame my adventurous attitude and wanting to be able to say that I had been in a pageant. But don't jump to conclusions, this was an Engineer Queen Pageant. We had the Enginerd competition, the New Intern competition, and the True Beauty competition. Needless to say I kicked trash at the Enginerd is just so easy for me to be nerdy. In the Enginerd competition we had to dress up and act like a nerd. Now you can see why I did so well...I am nerdier in real life than some of the girls were when they were acting. In the New Intern competition we wore business attire and were asked two questions. All I have to say is that sometimes the first thing that comes to your mind is not the best thing to say...but it is definitely funny to laugh about later. If someone asks you if you were a food what food would you be, don't say broccoli. In True Beauty we wore evening gowns...I was really tempted to just wear a night gown and call it good. But I followed the rules. I did however strap my graphing calculator to my calf. It was very Miss Congeniality. And all the judges thought that I was very funny. But something I learned was that if you are ever in a beauty pageant don't forget your escort on just looks bad. Well that is my story of the Engineering Queen Pageant. I came in 4th place of 18...not too shabby.
